La Colombe d'OR
La Colombe d’Or, a family-run hotel and restaurant in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, has been a quiet magnet for artists since the 1920s—Picasso, Miró, Calder, and others often paid with paintings that still hang on the walls. The rooms and terrace are steeped in that creative spirit, with art casually woven into everyday life. I always order the roasted chicken with tarragon—simple, perfect, and somehow tastes better under a Picasso.
